Taken from a facebook group created by Tammy Morris of Tantra Fitness:
Twyla Newton was diagnosed with a Brain Tumour at the end of August 2008 and given 6 months to live. After only 6 Chemotherapy treatments, she took a turn for the worst. On November 6th, 2008 at approximately 3:30pm, with her boys and a couple close friends at her side, she passed away peacefully in the hospital.
Twyla's husband passed away approximately 5 years ago. Her two boys, age 6 and 13 have lost both their parents. Twyla was adopted and estranged from that family. With no close relatives these boys are left without a family. With the possibility of being separated and placed into Foster Care, family friends stepped up, Dean and Wendy Parker, who have three children of their own.
This family is willing to give them all the love and support that they need but are not financially stable enough at this point in time. We are hoping to have ongoing fundraisers and direct donations to help Dean and Wendy give these boys the loving home they so need right now. If this family keeps the boys, eventually they will receive help from the government but this takes time and paperwork.
When your family goes from five to seven everything changes. Transporting the whole family, feeding five growing children, clothing those growing children, school fees, etc....And with Christmas coming, they need our help now.
We are holding a fundraiser on December 14th at the Cecil Exotic Show Lounge from 3:00pm to midnight as this is where Twyla worked as a cocktail waitress for close to 20 years. We are hoping to raise as much funds as possible so that these boys have a brighter future.
Please help us make this Christmas a little brighter as it is going to be such a hard time for these boys to spend this holiday without their mother. We are looking for anything from door prizes, to cash donations and items for a silent auction. Anything that you have to offer in any capacity would be greatly appreciated.
There will be complimentary Pole Dance Lessons, Lap Dance Lessons, Poker tables, Photo Booth with Santa's Sexy Helpers, back to back entertainment and much, much more. Please find it in your heart to give for this very worthy cause.
To donate directly to the family that is caring for the boys please go to Van City. Branch #6, account number 645184.
